WHAT WE BELIEVE
"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved..." - Acts 16:31
What we believe defines and shapes us - therefore our beliefs are highly important. It is hard to capture in a few words all the things that we hold as true. However, to better understand who we are, and what we proclaim, and how we want to live you will find several crucial points of belief below.

We believe in...
-
The one true God who lives eternally in three persons—the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
-
The love, grace and sovereignty of God in creating, sustaining, ruling, redeeming and judging the world.
-
The divine inspiration and supreme authority of the Old and New Testament Scriptures, which are the written Word of God—fully trustworthy for faith and conduct.
-
The dignity of all people, made male and female in God's image to love, be holy and care for creation, yet corrupted by sin, which incurs divine wrath and judgement.
-
The incarnation of God’s eternal Son, the Lord Jesus Christ—born of the virgin Mary; truly divine and truly human, yet without sin.
-
The atoning sacrifice of Christ on the cross: dying in our place, paying the price of sin and defeating evil, so reconciling us with God.
-
The bodily resurrection of Christ, the first fruits of our resurrection; his ascension to the Father, and his reign and mediation as the only Saviour of the world.
-
The justification of sinners solely by the grace of God through faith in Christ.
-
The ministry of God the Holy Spirit, who leads us to repentance, unites us with Christ through new birth, empowers our discipleship and enables our witness.
-
The Church, the body of Christ both local and universal, the priesthood of all believers— given life by the Spirit and endowed with the Spirit's gifts to worship God and proclaim the gospel, promoting justice and love.
-
The personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to fulfil the purposes of God, who will raise all people to judgement, bring eternal life to the redeemed and eternal condemnation to the lost, and establish a new heaven and new earth.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved..." - Acts 16:31
What we believe defines and shapes us - therefore our beliefs are highly important. It is hard to capture in a few words all the things that we hold as true. However, to better understand who we are, and what we proclaim, and how we want to live you will find 10 crucial points of belief below.

We believe in...
GOD
One God who exists forever as three equal persons (the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit). He is the God who created, sustains, rules, saves and judges the world by His love, grace, justice and sovereignty (supreme power and authority).
THE BIBLE
The written Word of God, the Bible (both the Old and New Testaments). It is inspired by God, fully trustworthy, without error and the supreme authority for faith and living.
MANKIND
The dignity and value of all people, male and female, created in God's image to love, be holy and care for creation. However, creation was distorted leaving every person a sinner by nature and by choice, deserving God’s wrath and judgement.
JESUS 1ST COMING
Jesus, who is God’s eternal Son, born of a virgin (Mary), both fully God and fully man - who lived among us without sin.
JESUS SACRIFICE
The sacrifice of Jesus, who died on the cross to defeat evil, to pay the price of sins and to secure a right relationship with God for those who believe in Him.
JESUS RESURRECTION
The resurrection of Jesus body and His return to God the Father which proved his defeat of death and it’s ultimate cause - sin.
SALVATION BY GRACE
The fact that Jesus is the one and only Saviour of the world. We are made right with God by his gracious gift not by our working to earn God’s approval.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
The work of God the Holy Spirit, who leads us to Jesus, to repent of sins, and experience new life in Him. The Holy Spirit lives inside those who believe; empowering and prompting them to grow in their love for God and their love for people.
THE CHURCH
The Church (also known as ‘the body of Christ’) is not a building or organization, it is simply the people who believe in and confess Jesus as their King. These people (called Christians) are given gifts to help grow the Church through worship, proclaiming the good news of Jesus and by promoting justice and love.
JESUS 2ND COMING
The personal and visible return of Jesus. When this occurs, God will raise every person for judgment - bringing eternal life to those who have trusted Jesus and eternal justice to those who have rejected Him. At this moment sin and death will be eternally destroyed and God will make a new heaven and new earth for the enjoyment of those who love Him and will live forever in His light and love
